Introduction

Pawmp respects your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you.

This Privacy Policy explains how Pawmp, Inc. ("Pawmp," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you use the Pawmp website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Pawmp Platform").

Pawmp is a technology marketplace that connects pet owners ("Pet Owners") with independent pet groomers and grooming businesses ("Groomers"). By using Pawmp, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account and Profile Information

When you create or maintain a Pawmp account, we may collect information such as:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • account credentials;
  • profile photograph;
  • account preferences; and
  • other information you choose to include in your profile.

If you are a Groomer, we may also collect:

  • business name;
  • business contact information;
  • professional information;
  • services offered;
  • pricing and availability;
  • professional credentials;
  • portfolio information and photographs; and
  • other information relevant to providing grooming services.

B. Pet Information

Pet Owners may create profiles for their pets. Information in a pet profile may include:

  • pet name;
  • photographs;
  • breed;
  • age;
  • size;
  • grooming preferences;
  • temperament;
  • behavioral information;
  • aggression or biting history;
  • allergies or sensitivities;
  • medications;
  • physical limitations;
  • health information relevant to safe grooming;
  • vaccination information where necessary; and
  • other information the Pet Owner chooses to provide.

Although this information primarily relates to an animal rather than a person, we handle it responsibly because it may be associated with a user's account and may reveal information about the user.

C. Groomer Identity and Credential Information

Pawmp may collect information necessary to verify a Groomer's identity and professional credentials where applicable. This may include identification information, credential or certification information, licensing information, and other verification-related information. Pawmp may use third-party service providers to conduct some verification activities. Where possible, Pawmp seeks to avoid retaining copies of sensitive identity documents longer than reasonably necessary.

D. Booking and Transaction Information

When you book, provide, cancel, or otherwise interact with a grooming service, we may collect information such as:

  • Groomer and Pet Owner involved in the booking;
  • selected services;
  • appointment date and time;
  • service location;
  • price;
  • fees;
  • booking status;
  • cancellation information;
  • refunds;
  • payment status;
  • payout information; and
  • transaction history.

E. Payment Information

Payments through Pawmp may be processed by third-party payment processors. Pawmp does not intend to directly store complete credit or debit card numbers when payment information is handled by a payment processor.

We may receive information associated with a transaction, such as payment status, amount, date, limited payment-method information, refunds, payout information, and transaction identifiers. Payment processors handle payment information according to their own privacy practices and legal obligations.

F. Location Information

Pawmp may use location information to help users discover Groomers, identify available services, or facilitate appointments. Depending on how you use Pawmp, we may collect a location, address, or ZIP code that you enter; approximate location derived from your IP address; and device location when you choose to grant Pawmp location permission.

Where device permissions are required, you can control those permissions through your device settings. You may also be able to search for services by manually entering a location rather than providing device location.

G. Service Addresses

If a service takes place at a Pet Owner's home or another requested location, Pawmp may collect the address necessary to facilitate the appointment. We may share the service address with the booked Groomer when reasonably necessary to provide the service. Pawmp seeks to avoid displaying a Pet Owner's home address to Groomers before it is necessary for a relevant booking.

H. Communications

If Pawmp provides messaging or other communication tools, we may process communications between Pet Owners and Groomers. We may use automated systems and, where appropriate, access communications for purposes such as providing customer support, facilitating bookings, investigating complaints, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, protecting users and animals, enforcing Pawmp policies, and maintaining the security of the Platform. We handle communications in accordance with applicable law.

I. Photographs and Other User Content

Users may provide photographs and other content, including profile photographs, pet photographs, grooming portfolio photographs, before-and-after photographs, review photographs, and photographs or documentation submitted to customer support.

Uploading a photograph for use on Pawmp does not automatically give Pawmp unrestricted permission to use that photograph in unrelated advertising campaigns. Where appropriate, we may seek additional permission before using user-provided content for such promotional purposes.

J. Reviews and Ratings

When you submit a review or rating, we may collect the content of the review, rating, associated booking information, and related information necessary to operate and protect the review system. Reviews and certain associated profile information may be visible to other Pawmp users.

K. Device and Usage Information

When you use Pawmp, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, device identifiers where permitted, app version, pages or screens viewed, interactions with Platform features, referring URLs, access dates and times, crash information, and diagnostic and performance data. We may use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, understand, and improve Pawmp.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Pawmp's website and services may use cookies, software development kits, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. These technologies may be used for keeping users signed in, remembering preferences, maintaining security, preventing fraud, understanding Platform usage, measuring performance, and improving Pawmp.

Pawmp may use analytics providers to help understand how users interact with the Platform. If Pawmp later introduces technologies used for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, we will update our privacy disclosures and provide choices where required by applicable law.

4. How We Share Information

Pawmp does not sell users' personal information. We may disclose information in the circumstances described below.

A. Between Pet Owners and Groomers

Because Pawmp is a marketplace, certain information must be shared between Pet Owners and Groomers to facilitate services. For example, a Groomer may receive a Pet Owner's name, relevant pet profile information, pet safety and behavioral information, booking details, contact information where necessary, and the service address when necessary for a booked mobile or at-home service. Pet Owners may receive information from a Groomer's public profile, including business information, services, pricing, professional information, availability, photographs, ratings, and reviews. We seek to limit this sharing to information reasonably necessary for the marketplace and applicable service.

B. Service Providers

Pawmp may disclose information to companies that perform services on Pawmp's behalf, including providers of payment processing, cloud hosting and data storage, identity and credential verification, email and text messaging, maps and location services, analytics, fraud prevention and security, customer support, and other technical and operational services.

C. Legal, Safety, and Fraud Prevention

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process; respond to valid governmental or regulatory requests; investigate suspected fraud or illegal activity; enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements; protect Pawmp's rights or property; protect the safety of users, Groomers, pets, or other persons; or respond to an emergency involving potential harm.

D. Business Transactions

If Pawmp is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

E. With Your Direction or Consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or otherwise provide appropriate consent.

5. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

Pawmp does not sell users' personal information. At launch, Pawmp also does not intend to use or disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If these practices materially change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notices and choices required by applicable law.

6. Communications From Pawmp

Transactional Communications

Pawmp may send communications necessary to provide the Platform, including booking confirmations, appointment updates, cancellations, receipts, payment information, account notifications, security alerts, and important service announcements. You may not be able to opt out of communications that are necessary to operate your account or provide requested services.

Marketing Communications

Pawmp may send promotional emails where permitted by law. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication. Marketing text messages will be sent only where Pawmp has obtained consent required by applicable law. Instructions for opting out will be provided with those communications. Opting out of marketing communications does not prevent Pawmp from sending necessary transactional or account-related messages.

7. How Long We Keep Information

Pawmp retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The appropriate retention period depends on factors such as how long you maintain a Pawmp account; whether information is necessary to provide the Platform; transaction and payment record requirements; tax and accounting obligations; fraud prevention; safety concerns; disputes or complaints; legal claims; and applicable legal requirements.

Some information may therefore be retained after an account has been closed or a deletion request has been submitted. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, Pawmp may delete, de-identify, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law.

8. Account Deletion

Users may request closure of their Pawmp account and deletion of personal information associated with the account. Pawmp may provide account-deletion functionality directly through the Platform or another designated method.

Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally permitted, including information associated with completed transactions, tax and accounting requirements, payment disputes, fraud prevention, safety incidents, unresolved complaints, legal claims, and compliance with applicable law. Deletion of a Pawmp account does not necessarily require Pawmp to delete information that it is legally required or permitted to retain.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information. These rights may include the ability to request access to personal information Pawmp maintains about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of certain information; obtain a copy of certain personal information; withdraw certain consent where processing depends on consent; and exercise other privacy rights provided by applicable law.

Pawmp will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by applicable law and subject to appropriate verification.

Privacy requests may be submitted through the contact method identified in Section 15.

10. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under state law. The rights available to you depend on your state of residence, the applicable law, and whether that law applies to Pawmp. Where required, Pawmp will provide mechanisms for exercising applicable rights.

Pawmp does not sell personal information and, at launch, does not intend to process personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If Pawmp's practices change in a way that creates additional opt-out rights under applicable state privacy laws, we will update our disclosures and provide the required controls.

11. Security

Pawmp uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no website, mobile application, database, or transmission of information can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and should notify Pawmp if they believe their account has been compromised.

12. Children's Privacy

Pawmp is intended for adults and requires account holders to be at least 18 years old. Pawmp does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Pawmp, please contact us using the contact method identified in Section 15 so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

Pawmp may integrate with or contain links to services operated by third parties. Those companies may have their own privacy practices and policies. This Privacy Policy applies to Pawmp's handling of personal information and does not govern the independent privacy practices of third parties. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of third-party services they choose to use.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Pawmp may update this Privacy Policy as our Platform, business practices, technologies, or legal obligations change. When we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by applicable law. The effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when the current version became effective.
